1. Membership: There will be a $20.00 annual membership fee per angler ($40 per team). Membership runs from April to April. MUST BE A MEMBER TO FISH THESE TOURNAMENTS! Events are two person team events with a FIVE fish limit.
2. Registration: Registration starts at 5:30AM at the boat launch site. Entry fees will be $60.00 per team. (This inclues the tournament lunker fee). YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AND HAVE YOUR BOAT IN THE WATER PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EVENT, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL ELIMINATE YOU FROM THIS EVENT.
3. Payback: 100% payback as follows: 1st-45%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-15%,
4th-10% of the entry fees for the event. Lunker will be based on $ 10.00 fee per team entered in the event. Memebership fees and sponsor donations will be used to purchase Plaques and other necessary items for the continuance of these tournaments.
4. Event Times & Regulations: Tournaments start at 6:30AM. Ending at 3:00 PM unless specified otherwise. The event director can delay, cancel, or reschedule the start of any event if weather conditions pose a threat to the welfare and safety of the event participants. The Director of the event will hold a meeting an ask for a vote of those who wish to fish the event and fees will be returned to those who decide that they will not fish due to weather conditions prior to the start of the event. No one leaves the staging area prior to the start of an event. No fishing until the event has started. Only two participants per boat, only participants allowed in the boats (*see exception in Weigh in Regulation). Starting order will be determined by blind draw and a trickle start will commence with the boat #1 until all boats have left the staging area. Boundries are all waters accessible by boat without exiting the boat and in accordance to state laws. Anyone found violating these regulations will be disqualified from the event without refund of fees. If you are found to have viotated these regulations in any two events you will not be allowed to partifipate in any future events with the club.
5. Equipment Regulations: All boats will have working live wells or coolers with areators. All boats will have all coast gaurd required and approved equipment. All boats will be equipped with a working kill switch. All participants are reguired to wear thier pfd's when traveling more than trolling speed. First infraction will be a warning, a second infraction in that event or any thereafter will be loss of weight for that event.
6. Fishing Equipment Regulation: NO LIVE BAIT, artificial lures only. Nets are optional. Multiple rods may be in the boat but only one rod may be used per participant at a time. Fish must be caught by the participants during the hours of the event only and by the team who is weighing them in.
7. Sportsmanship: Sportsmanship will be practiced at all times. Unsportsmanlike like conduct will not be tolerated. Once an event has started you must maintain 100' from any other participant's boat who is fishing or about to fish and you can not fish within 100' of that boat. A formal complaint must be signed by the participants who feel that someone violated this infraction and event officials will listen to both sides before assessing the penalty for the violation.
ANY ANGLER WHO BREAKS A CONSERVATION LAW IN ANY BODY OF WATER US/CANADA SHALL BE DISQAULIFIED FROM THE TOURNAMENT
8. NO ALCOHOL DURING TOURNAMENT HOURS!
9. Points System: Will be based on 200 point system. Ex. 1st= 200pts 2nd=199 pts etc.
10. Weigh In: 3:00 PM SHARP at the launch site. Teams must be in the staging area by 3 PM. A 2lb penalty will be assessed for each minute that a team is late up to ten minutes. After 10 minutes a team will be disqualified.
(*) All 5 fish must be 12'" unless there are special regulations for that water. Fish must be alive and returned to the water unless there is an exception for a trophy fish. A 1 lb penalty will be assessed for each dead fish. Scales will not be open until all boats are loaded. (*) One member of each team will call the weight with the director that is running the scales and will sign the weigh slip at that time. * Exception to noted sections of these regulations may be in forace if a teams boat breaks down while in route to weigh in and if they can flag down another teams boat, they may send one of their team members with the fish to weigh in and at that time advise the director handling the weigh in of the problem and someone will be sent to assist the member who is broke down.
ADDITIONAL RULES (AMMENDED 6/6/08)
Any anglers/teams found to have broken/violated ANY converstation laws on any tournament body of water, U.S. or Canadian waters will be disqualified. (2008)
Any club member must fish at least 3 out of the 5 tournaments to fish in the club championship. (2008)
$15 Lunker pot from each angler must be signed up for at the first tournament. This pot will be awared to the lunker of the year winner at the end of the season. All anglers must pay for this PRIOR to the 1st tournament. You may NOT sign up at a later date. The only exception to the rule would be if new member signs up during the season. The new angler once again is expecte to sign up PRIOR to their first tournament launch. No exceptions after the boat touches the water. (2007)
Any angler bringing fish to the scale that are not legal length for the body of water the tournament was held on is subject to disqualification at the tournament directors discretion (2007)
Each team may have one throw away tournament
Each team will pick its own big fish prior to weigh in
Launch time is now 6:30 A.M.
OFF LIMITS ARE NOW THREE DAYS BEFORE EACH TOURNEY
(no angler from any team being entered in the tournament shall fish 3 days prior to the tournament on the tournament waters)
